The Cook Book Store in Kensington is owned by Barbara J. Gelink. She is over 60,  which makes her mean, knowledgeable about cook books, excellent graders of condition, and fair pricers. Barbara went to high school in La Jolla, California and remembers reading books in general, later, much later she learned to cook and read cookbooks.  Years later, she developed an interest in collecting cookbooks.  Then, later had to sell some of her collection and became a dream come true when she was able to have The Cook Book Store.

In addition to value in buying cook book collections, she places strong emphasis on the unusual.

For example, cook books about small towns in the U.S.A. from church groups are very interesting.

In 2001, she opened The Cook Book Store in Kensington.  She has 8,000 cook books for sale. Send us your Want Lists.
